Knotty
Pine Products: Many people are feeling the pinch
of today’s harsh economic times. With budgets being
tight, looking for a nice affordable lumber product can be
difficult to find at times. With the versatility of knotty
pine and the fact that it is very readily available, makes
the lumber an attractive alternative to hardwoods. Here are
a few products we offer in the knotty pine.
1. Log Cabin Siding

This product is molder run to 1 3/8” x 7 3/8”.
It has a ship lapped profile for ease of hiding the seams.
So if you are looking for something to give your home a slightly
more rustic or log cabin style look, this is a great product
to use for the job.
2. Edge & Center Bead Paneling

This product is made from a nominal 1” x 6” product
and is molder run to a finished dimension of 5 1/4”
with a 5” face. This product is great for lining walls
or ceilings and can give a room a little more depth and appeal
than a normal flat surface.
3. Pickwick Paneling

This product is molder run and can vary in width up to 9”
with up to an 8 1/2” face. This product is also great
for lining walls or ceilings and can give the jazz up a room
just as the ECIB paneling can do.
4. Tongue and Groove V-groove Paneling

This product is not as sleek as the other two paneling products
but can still add flair to a room. The widths of this product
can range from 3” up to 11”. As with the others,
this product is great for lining walls or ceilings.
5. S1S2E Knotty Pine (Rough 1 Face
and surfaced 3 sides)
We normally carry this product in a nominal
1” x 12” with a band sawn face. This product is
mostly used for exterior barn siding, however it can be used
for interior siding as well. Some of our customers have used
it to make the inside of their home look like a log cabin
by using chinking between the boards. We have also made this
into a ship lapped product so that there does not look like
empty space behind the seam. Other widths in this product
could be available upon request.
6. Nominal S4S Knotty Pine
We carry this product in a nominal 1”
x 6”, 1" x 8", 1" x 10", and 1"
x 12". This is mostly furniture grade stock with small/medium
sized tight red knots. Check out our inventory
to see what is available.
7. Thick Stock Material

We do carry thicker knotty pine for customers looking
to make a mantle piece, legs for something or benches. Right
now we have some 8” x 8” and some 4” x 8”
knotty pine boards in stock. I usually carry 4” x 12”
stock, but we are sold out at the moment. We also have some
8/4 Natural Edge Knotty pine in stock in widths of 14”
to 24” and ranging from 8’ up to 16’. This
product makes for an excellent rustic mantle piece.
7. Kiln Dried Pine Timbers
We offer custom kiln drying of large pine
timbers. In the past we have dried anything from a 2 x 4 to
a 12 x 12 as well as material ranging from 8' up to 24' in
length. We have also custom dried some Douglas Fir timbers
as well.
If you have any questions or interests in
any of these products, please feel free to contact us for
mor information.
