Botanical Name: Millettia laurentii

Family: Leguminosae

Other Common Names: Awoung, Dikela, Mibotu, Bokonge, Tshikalakala, Nson-so, Palissandre du congo, Wenge

Uses: Parquet or strip flooring, joinery, general construction, specialty items. Wenge is used as a hickory substitute in sporting goods, also for decorative veneer.

New Items: We received a small shipment of 10/4 Spanish Cedar last month. There is only 47 bf left in stock so the material could disappear quickly.


Restocked Items: We just had some 4/4 Poplar that recently came out of the kiln, so we are well stocked up for the moment. We will also be getting more 4/4 Hard Maple on hand again, just keep checking the inventory to see when this item is available.


Custom Stair Treads: Here at Bailey Wood Products, we have the capability to make custom glued stair treads. We can make treads in almost any width, length, or thickness. We offer just squared up glued blanks ready for the customer to finish or we can put a bullnose on the edges, however we can only bullnose the treads up to 1 1/8" in thickness. Here is an example of a custom tread we can do:

These glued treads are 1" thick by 11" wide by 34 1/2" long and have a bullnose on the front edge and right edge.
